Avg Mobility Trend Vs. COVID19 Cases

According to the Mobility trend in South Africa since the outbreak of COVID19, an average of 18% change in mobility has been observed in residential areas and an average of -40% change in mobility in non residential activities such as retails, parks, driving, etc.

The Average Mobility trend is an average of multiple Mobility datasets presented by location and highlights the percentage change(from baseline) in visits to places like grocery stores, parks etc and mobility activities like walking and driving within a geographic area. The raw data is derived from Google and Apple.

Each category of mobility trend represents the change of percentage (from baseline) in visits to places like grocery stores, pharmacy, parks and mobility activities like walking & driving. The data representing Walking and driving trends are dericed from are Apple and rest of the data such as visits to park, grocery, pharma etc has been derived from Google.

South Africa has so far made 12331837 tests of which 1796589 cases have been tested positive. Of the 1796589 confirmed cases 58441 deaths have been recorded, 1632182 are recovered, 546 are critical and 105966 cases are active and under treatment. On an average till now South Africa has seen 29930 cases per million, 974 deaths per million and done 205459 tests per million.
